Our mission is to have every student who is enrolled in our school excel in reading, writing, math, and science. This requires educators to adapt their teaching styles to meet the different needs of all students at every level. We value the diversity of cultures and unique backgrounds represented in our community and the opportunities this diversity presents for new information and the expansion of our perspectives about our state, country, and world.

Academic Program:

computer1:
The Academic Program combines literacy and technology in order to create a dynamic educational focus. Technology is integrated in conjunction with all components of the Literacy Program. We are committed to best practices in teaching literacy and the implementation of researched-based methodology, reflecting a balanced approach to literacy. Two literacy coaches are implementing the district’s Elementary Literacy Program. The Math Program is Everyday Math. Math Specialists in grades four and five provide coaching and conduct professional development for all staff. Science and Social Studies curricula are taught using a school-wide theme-based approach.

reading2:
The combined emphasis on literacy and technology will empower students to succeed in the changing world of the 21st century. A team approach between and among grade levels, as well as with support staff and specialists, fosters an explosion of learning and a pathway for lifetime educational opportunities.
